Ping4 Inc., a Nashua, N.H.-based company that provides a hyperlocal emergency alerts communications platform, closed a $4m funding.
Backers included unnamed serial entrepreneurs.
The company intends to use the funding for product enhancements, intellectual property, and creation of global sales and marketing capabilities.
Led by Jim Bender, CEO, Ping4 has created the ping4alerts! communications platform, which provides localized, rich-media hyperlocal alerts regarding geographically relevant dangers and emergencies that are in close proximity to smartphones bearing the app. Ping4alerts! has been deployed by several state emergency management agencies, police depts. and educational institutions in the US.
