Livefyre Closes $15M Series C Funding

Livefyre, a San Francisco, California-based provider of real-time social software for businesses, brands, events and media companies, closed $15m Series C funding.

The round, which brings the total funding to date to over $20m, was led by U.S. Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Greycroft Partners, Cue Ball, HillsVen Group, and ff Venture Capital.

The company intends to use the capital to expand to new markets and continue to grow its team and technologies.

Founded in 2009 by CEO Jordan Kretchmer, Livefyre delivers Enterprise SaaS platform – StreamHub – to digital publishers and brands, including FOX Entertainment, The New York Times, CBS, The Daily Beast, FOX News, AOL and NBC Universal. The platform includes engagement tools for sites such as live chats, live blogs, comments, a developer platform, as well as curation tools for aggregating content directly back to sites from across the social web.
