Learnpedia Raises Funding

Learnpedia, a Hyderabad, India-based digital content startup, raised an undisclosed amount of funding.

Reports said that backers included Ixora Ventures and other angel investors. Among overall investors, the company’s web site lists Arthur Bovsky, Arvind Nayak and Ojas Venture Partners’ Raghu Batta.

The company intends to use the capital to improve content, sales and add new products.

Founded in 2012 by Krishna Rao Akula, Learnpedia offers a range of content for the Joint Engineering Entrance examination which includes videos, animations and text to allow students with Android-based tablets to learn concepts of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The company also operates a Business Solutions Division, which provides support services to regional coaching classes in the areas of digital content, administrative support, trained faculty.
