Kickboard Raises $2M in Series A Funding

Kickboard, an online school analytics platform that allows educators and school professionals to capture, analyze and share critical student performance data, raised $2m in Series A funding.

The round, which brings the total amount raised to $2.8m, was led by New Markets Venture Partners and Two Sigma Ventures, with participation from some angel investors.

The company intends to use the capital to expand the team and invest in further product development.

Led by Jennifer Medbery, founder and CEO, Kickboard provides schools with a platform to manage data and develop richer profiles of student progress that include multiple assessments, new skills, student behavior, character strengths and personal interests, in order to allow teachers to have the information they need to make adjustments to instruction and interventions.

The company currently serves more than 200 schools nationwide
