Backers include Grishin Robotics, a venture capital firm focused on consumer robotics, Logitech and Autodesk.

Founded by Axel Bichara, Ben Einstein, and Scott Miller, Bolt intends to provide robotics and connected devices startups with seed capital, office space, prototyping facilities, and support from a full-time engineering/design staff and from hardware-centric mentors.

Over the course of the next two years, the incubator will accept 25 hardware startups into its program. For the first batch, 10-15 companies are going to be accepted for the 6-month program (deadline April 22nd).
