Zirtual Raises $2M in Series A Funding

Zirtual, a Las Vegas, NV and San Francisco, CA-based online service that connects professionals with virtual executive assistants, raised $2m in Series A funding.

Backers included Tony Hsieh (CEO of Zappos.com), VegasTechFund, and Mayfield Fund.

Zirtual currently has an office in San Francisco and is opening a new headquarters in downtown Las Vegas.

Founded a year ago by Maren Kate Donovan, CEO, Zirtual is a marketplace that matches available workforce with entrepreneurs who are willing to outsource key tasks around scheduling, research and reservations, allowing them to focus on their core business needs. Three levels of service ranging from $197-$997/month are available.
Zirtual, which also has a network of partners, such as Ruby for receptionists, Uber for travel, and Munchery for food delivery who can provide additional services, currently employs a workforce of over 100 U.S. based assistants.
