Squirro Raises Seed Funding

Squirro, a Zurich, Switzerland-based digital personal assistant, raised an initial seed funding of undisclosed amount.

Backers include individuals and companies in the ERP, CRM and BI industries. Among them, Alex Ott, founder of CrossContinentalVentures.

The company intends to use the capital to further develop Squirro extending the application across additional CRM platforms (Squirro is available on Saleforce AppExchange, on SAP Business by Design and as a standalone version), and to expand its international reach.

Led by Dorian Selz, Toni Birrer, Felix Hürlimann, and Patrice Neff, Squirro provides a Sales Intelligence solution which provides actionable intelligence to sales representatives, key account managers and marketing professionals. It scans multiple sources from Internet channels and social media, private databases and internal systems to find the most relevant information on users’ topic of interest, then updates it continuously and automatically.
Squirro is available for desktops, browsers, smartphones and tablets with no need to synchronize.

The company, which also has a Palo Alto, CA-based office, is currently hiring (read here).
