Property Network Receives Equity Investment

Property Network (formerly known as Property Place), a Leeds, UK-based company that allows users to search and share details of property for sale or rent on Facebook, has received an equity investment of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Ingenious Ventures, which made the investment via its Media Opportunities Fund, with participation from Finance Yorkshire‘s Seedcorn and Equity funds.

The company intends to use the proceeds to expand marketing efforts and add one million new users and 1.2 million registered properties over the next six months.

Founded in 2011 by Sohail Rashid, CEO, and also led by chairman Dean Fielding, Property Network uses Facebook data to source the most appropriate home for a user’s work and lifestyle and allows users to share details with their friends and family. The platform already has over 900,000 registered properties, supporting 8,000 estate agents by profiling their properties on Facebook.
