Maritime Wine Trading Collective Receives Growth Capital from Bacchus Capital Management

Maritime Wine Trading Collective, a San Francisco-based wine import, production, and distribution company, received growth capital from Bacchus Capital Management.

In conjunction with the transaction, Maritime is buying Nine North, a Stag’s Leap District-based collection of handcrafted Napa and North Coast red wines.

The terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Co-founded in 2009 by Chris Nickolopoulos, CEO, and Elijah Pfister, Maritime Wine Trading Collective is a fine wine importation, production and distribution company, whose portfolio includes offerings from diverse destinations such as Portugal, Spain, Turkey, South Africa, New Zealand, Sicily, & Canada, as well as small production sub-appellation offerings from California and Oregon.

Founded by James Harder and Jim Regusci, Nine North produces hand crafted bottlings of Cabernet and Cabernet-based blends exclusively from California’s Napa Valley and North Coast appellations. It complements the Maritime portfolio of wines such as Graham Beck of South Africa and Jules Taylor of New Zealand.
The winemaker is the acclaimed Charles Hendriks.
