Atlas Powered, LLC, a Santa Monica, CA-based developer of a mobile platform that streamlines business productivity on smartphones, closed a $700k funding round.
Backers included the Tech Coast Angel group, Maverick Angels, Pasadena Angels, Angel Capital Entrepreneur Fund, Mark Suster’s LaunchpadLA, and Clark Landry, Founder of Shift.
The company intends to use the capital to accelerate the development and commercialization of the Atlas app for iOS and Android.
Co-founded in 2011 by CEO Hunter Gray and President Michel Bayan, Atlas unifies all existing calendar, task and contact data to allow users collaboration across platforms to schedule or assign anything in a user interface. The mobile platform features an action center and a communication hub.
The company plans to release the private beta for iOS and Android in February, followed by a full public beta within the coming months.
In conjunction with the funding, Yuri Pikover of Tech Coast Angels joined Atlas’ Board of Directors.
