NYC-based early-stage venture capital firm Pereg Ventures has launched its operations.
Pereg Ventures will focus on investing in technologies that have the potential to help companies understand and market to their customers, including market intelligence innovations, advertising solutions, management tools, and related mobile and online enablers.
Led by Claudia Iannazzo, CEO and partner, the firm will mainly focus on the U.S. market and Israeli ventures who want to enter the U.S. economy.
The anchor investor for Pereg Ventures is Nielsen Holdings N.V. (NYSE: NLSN), a global information and measurement company, whose commitment is conditioned on the fund obtaining total investments of not less than $25m, which is planned for the first half of 2013. Itzhak Fisher, executive vice president, Global Business Development for Nielsen, will also lead Pereg.
