Influitive Raises $7.3M in Series A Funding

Influitive, a Toronto, Canada- and San Francisco, CA-based provider of an advocate marketing platform, has raised $7.3m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Hummer Winblad and Relay Ventures, with participation from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Illuminate Ventures, Resolute.VC, Common Angels, and other angels and firms.

In conjunction with the funding, Lars Leckie from Hummer Winblad and Alex Baker from Relay Ventures will join Influitive’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the capital to build marketing, sales and services teams, and accelerate development of its AdvocateHub.

Led by Mark Organ, CEO and co-founder, Influitive helps businesses mobilize their advocates, fans and evangelists to drive more references, referrals, success stories and online endorsements. Launched in 2012, AdvocateHub is an advocate community where customers can participate in online or offline campaigns like lead referrals, demand generation, events and product reviews. As they complete challenges, advocates gain points, badges and levels that can be used for a variety of perks and privileges.
Customers include business-to-business software firms.
