Hover Raises $3.1M in Seed Funding

Hover Inc., a Los Altos, CA-based developer of advanced computer vision and 3D mapping technology, has raised $3.1m in seed funding.

Backers include Almaz Capital, de Anda Capital, McKenna Management and several angel investors, including Maurice Werdegar from Western Technology Investment.

The company intends to use the capital to expand its technical team (http://www.hoverinc.com/hover-jobs.php), and enter the commercial and consumer markets.

Led by newly appointed CEO Kevin Reilley, who brings nearly three decades of experience managing growth companies in the technology and data licensing sectors, Hover has developed technology that leverages crowdsourced imagery to create and continually update 3D maps. Hover currently provides its 3D technology to the military, homeland security and emergency response markets.
