CloudVelocity Closes $5M in Series A Funding

CloudVelocity (formerly known in stealth mode as Denali Systems), a Santa Clara, CA-based developer of a hybrid cloud automation software suite, has closed $5m in Series A funding from Mayfield Fund.

The company intends to use the funding to accelerate the development of its suite.

Co-founded by Rajeev Chawla, CEO, Anand Iyengar, CTO, Panagiotis (Panos) Tsirigotis, Chief Software Architect, and Raman Chawla, VP of Engineering, CloudVelocity develops a hybrid cloud automation software suite which allows data center teams to scale and secure their distributed multi-tier applications and services into and between clouds. The beta trial of the Enterprise Edition enables users to clone, migrate and failover multi-tier apps and services into the AWS EC2 cloud.
The company plans to integrate other public clouds in 2013.
