Burpple Raises $500K in Seed Funding

Burpple, a Singapore-based developer of a mobile app that allows users to remember, organize and explore their favorite “food” moments with friends, has raised $500k in seed funding.

Backers include Neoteny Labs and QuestVC.

The company intends to use the capital to grow in China, and Southeast Asia, as well as in other markets.

Founded in December of 2011 by Daniel Hum, Dixon Chan, and Elisha Ong, Burpple connects people to local food experiences in more than 3,300 cities and 115 countries, allowing them to share photos, opinions and experiences of food.
The app is currently available on iOS while an Android version is currently being developed.
