AppFirst, Inc., a New York, NY-based provider of cloud application performance monitoring (APM) solutions for the enterprise, has raised $8.7m in Series B financing.
The round was led by Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. (NYSE:SFE), which has invested $6.5m, with participation from FirstMark Capital and Javelin Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Philip D. Moyer, Managing Director, Technology at Safeguard, joined AppFirst’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the capital to expand sales and marketing and accelerate platform enhancements.
Led by David Roth, CEO and co-founder, AppFirst provides SaaS-based DevOps Dashboard, an APM solution that provides visibility into critical, top-line business metrics by capturing detailed information from an entire application stack, aggregating and then correlating them in a single, big data repository.
