New York City-based venture capital firm RRE Ventures, LLC, has closed its fifth fund, at $230m.
RRE Ventures V, L.P. fund (RRE V) has been backed by a mix of corporate funds, financial service and insurance companies, family offices, endowments, foundations and substantial individual investors from the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
To date, the fund has already made a dozen core investments and completed a number of seed-program commitments.
Founded in 1994 and led by Co-Managing Partners James D. Robinson IV and Stuart J. Ellman, RRE Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm that focuses on companies that leverage technologies to innovate major industries across the United States and in select overseas geographies.
