Faguo, a Paris, France-based ecofriendly shoe and fashion brand, has raised €1,5m in funding.
The name of the private backer remained undisclosed.
The company intends to use the capital to increase its offerings and continue to expand in France and abroad.
Founded in 2009 by Frédéric Mugnier and Nicolas Rohr, Faguo plants a tree for each pair of shoes sold. The company today employs 15 people and operates 150 points of sale in France (Kiliwatch, Printemps de l’Homme, Les Galeries Lafayettes), 40 points of sale for children (Six pieds trois pouces, Demi Lune, etc.) and is present in 11 countries (Japan, Hong-Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Spain and Canada).
