Expert TA Raises $400K in Funding

Expert TA, a Tulsa, Okla.-based developer of a “partial-credit grading solution” for use by engineering, math and physics departments of universities, has raised $400k in funding.

The round was led by i2E Inc.-managed Oklahoma Seed Capital Fund II, which committed $227k, with participation from undisclosed angel investors.

Founded in 2009 by Jeremy Morton, Ph.D., Expert TA has developed platform software that provides “human-like” partial credit grading for engineering, math and physics problems, which aims to free up professors and teaching assistants to focus on elevating the level of student leaning, instead of grading complex homework.
