According to Gianluca Dettori (read here his post in Italian), Eco4Cloud, a Cosenza, Italy-based company that has developed a technology for energy consumption savings in data centers, has raised €2.3m in funding.
Backers include Principia SGR and dpixel‘s Digital Investments.
Founded by CEO Raffaele Giordanelli, CTO Giuseppe Papuzzo, and Carlo Mastroianni, Agostino Forestiero, Eco4Cloud offers a novel solution that leverages Cloud Computing to acquire higher efficiency, to guarantee high quality of service for the applications executed in the data centers, and to obtain significant energy savings.
The company is a start-up of Università della Calabria and is hosted in the Technest incubator.
