CYMEDX to Receive $25k in Seed Funding

CYMEDX, an Arizona-based developer of assays for the early detection of mitochondrial diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, will receive $25k in seed funding.

The capital will be provided by the Arizona Commerce Authority and BioAccel, as part of the AZ Furnace Accelerator, the state’s technology transfer startup program.

The company will develop assays for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, which enables earlier therapy, and development of personalized medicine solutions.
AZ Furnace is statewide, public-private partnership among the Arizona Commerce Authority, BioAccel, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona Technology Enterprises, and Dignity Health Arizona.
