Adept Cloud, Inc., a San Mateo, CA-based developer of a cloud-managed private collaboration solution, has raised $700k in Series A funding.
The round was led by the Entrepreneurs’ Fund III, with participation from other private investors.
The company intends to use the capital for product development, as well as for execution of the adeptCloud pilot and early customer implementations.
Founded in 2012 by Frank-Robert Kline, CEO, and Aaron Nathan, CTO, Adept Cloud has just launched a pilot version of its enterprise-class collaboration and file access solution for businesses to enable employees, as well as partners, customers, suppliers and contractors, to collaborate on documents maintaining their own file storage behind corporate firewalls. adeptCloud operates on Windows, Mac and Linux desktop systems, and can provide access with native applications for iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and Blackberry.
