Rap Genius Raises $15M from Andreessen Horowitz

Rap Genius, a web site where people explain rap lyrics, has raised $15m from Andreessen Horowitz.

Explaining the investment (read here, Marc Andreessen said they invested in the company because of the community, its potential to expand beyond rap into all culture, the stellar team, and of the Rap IQ system, which allows contributors to receive points for explanations and suggestions.

Founded in 2009 by Mahbod Moghadam, Tom Lehman e Ilan Zechory, Rap Genius is an online community of rap fans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rap_Genius) where members can listen to songs, read their lyrics, and click the lines that interest them for pop-up explanations.
