Preen.Me, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based social beauty site, has closed an $800k seed funding.
Backers include Horizons Ventures, Genesis Partners and Oren Zeev.
The company intends to use the capital to grow its team and offering.
Led by CEO and founder Tamar Yaniv, COO Haggai Klorman-Eraqi and CTO Nitzan Volman, Preen.Me focuses on helping women worldwide find and enjoy the beauty products that work for them. Using proprietary algorithms, the site will provide personalized recommendations based on the user’s social graph and crowdsourcing. Preen.Me currently has a Facebook community of over 175,000 fans (https://www.facebook.com/BeautyAddictsCommunity).
