According to multiple reports, MeetMeTix, an Austin, Texas-based mobile marketplace for fans to buy and sell extra tickets, has launched with approximately $500k in seed funding.
Atlanta and New York-based participated in the funding including chairman Ben Dyer and Texas Entrepreneur Networks, the angel group led by Hall Martin.
The company is using the capital to rollout the product nationwide.
Founded in 2011, MeetMeTix provides a cloud-based mobile marketplace that enbles fans to buy and sell their extra tickets for major college football games but intends to expand across sports and entertainment.
The company has additional offices in Atlanta and San Francisco.
