Global venture capital investment firm Greenspring Associates has closed a $356m fund-of-funds.
Backed by existing investors as well as select new institutional investors from the United States, Europe, Australia, Asia and Middle East, Greenspring Global Partners V, L.P. has already made select fund commitments and direct investments to date and expects to add established as well as up‑and‑coming emerging manager fund commitments, secondary investments and direct investments over the rest of its investment period.
It will reserve up to 25% of the capital for direct investment opportunities alongside of its global venture capital and growth equity managers.
Established in 2000, Greenspring Associates identifies and invest in a portfolio of venture capital and growth equity managers in the United States, as well as developed and emerging international markets. The firm primarily invests in venture capital and growth equity managers pursuing information technology, healthcare and energy investment opportunities.
