Emme Raises $3M in Series A Financing

Emme E2MS LLC (doing business as Emme), a Bristol, Conn.-based provider of advanced environmental control and energy management products to the residential and light commercial markets, has raised $3m in Series A financing.

Backers include Connecticut Innovations (CI), which has made an investment of $1.5m through its Eli Whitney Fund, Advantage Capital Partners, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Enhanced Capital and other individual investors.

The company will use the capital to continue to innovate and broaden its reach in the marketplace.

Led by Jon Brodeur, CEO, Emme has developed a proprietary energy management system that uses wireless temperature sensors, advanced thermodynamic data analysis and control algorithms and built-in zoning to provide products including smart thermostats, and an advanced tool for temperature control to individual rooms.
The company’s system also features Internet connectivity, enabling remote access, monitoring and troubleshooting by HVAC contractors.

In conjunction with the funding, David Wurzer, CI managing director of investments, has joined Emme’s board of directors.
