Transmedia Communications, a Genève, Switzerland-based company that owns iConcerts, a cross-media entertainment channel dedicated to live music, has received a €6m equity investment from TIME Equity Partners.
The company intends to use the funding for:
– acquisition of local catalogs,
– growth on smartphones, tablets, PC, and connected TVs
– expansion in Russia and America,
– development of technology
Founded in 2006 by Natalia Tserkova and CEO Etienne Mirlesse, and backed by Swisscom Ventures, iConcerts features a large library of live music concerts, TV shows and documentaries, from contemporary stars to legendary performers like Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley.
It has already established itself as one of the largest HD TV concert channels in Europe and has recently spread to Africa & Asia. Its VOD services are available for all digital content delivery platforms such as IPTV, web, OTT and mobile.
The company has offices in Paris, London, Singapore, Seoul and Beijing.
