PCN Raises $5.25M in Funding

PCN, a San Diego, CA-based provider of Ethernet/IP networking products for existing functional twisted pair and discrete wiring, has raised $5.25m in funding.

The round was led by existing investors and board members including PCN’s Executive Chairman Irwin H. Pfister and Directors Jerre Stead and Joe Kasputys, Enertech Capital and new individual investors from San Diego and La Jolla, California.

The company intends to use the capital to hire additional human resources for customer project management, product marketing, strategic account management & technical applications support to bolster support of customers in the US and Canada while managing new customer opportunities in building automation, security, voice, point of sale, industrial and M2M markets. With four distinct business units focused on Standard Product Sales & Support, Network Design, Compliance, and Marketing Services, PCN designs, develops and manufactures reliable communication devices that enable Ethernet transport on existing wiring while allowing any present networks to co-exist.

The company has engineering, installation and support offices located in Missouri and production services in Oregon.
