Facebook Acquires Threadsy

According to a recent blog post (read here) Threadsy, a San Francisco, CA-based startup that offers sotfware that measures social capital through the strength of connections (Swaylo), has been acquired by Facebook (Nasdaq: FB).

The sum of the transaction was not disclosed.

Led by Rob Goldman, CEO & Founder, Udi Nir, CTO & Co-Founder, and Sabrina Riddle, Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer, Threadsy operates Swaylo to help brands discover the people whose influence matters most for their business and work with them to achieve measurable marketing outcomes. Through an analysis of their social graph, the solution also support individuals in understanding their own influence and use it to build mutually beneficial relationships with the brands they care about.

According the the post, following the close of the deal, “people will no longer be able to access their Sway scores on Swaylo.com.
“But SwayloPro will continue to operate as separate, independent company owned by its current investors“.

The company raised funding from investors such as August Capital and Harrison Metal Capital.
