eSpark Learning Raises $5.7M in Series A Funding

According to reports, eSpark Learning, a Chicago, IL-based startup that provides elementary school students with tools to make learning fun with modern technology, educational games, & community, has raised $5.7m in Series A funding.

Backers include MK Capital, Learn Capital, NewSchools Venture Fund and 500 Startups.

The company intends to use the capital to expand nationalwide.

Led by founder and CEO David Vinca and newly hired CTO Luke Shepard, eSpark provides students with an iPad app with educational games, instructional videos, and audiobooks based on their individual learning needs.
