Captricity Raises Investment from Knight Foundation Enterprise Fund

Captricity, Inc., a Berkeley, CA-based cloud service which captures digital data from paper documents, has raised an investment from the Knight Foundation Enterprise Fund.

Commenting on the funding, Ben Wirz, Knight Foundation’s director of business consulting, said: “We look forward to building awareness of the company’s product and services among Knight’s network of communities, nonprofits and media organizations.”

Founded in 2011 by CEO Kuang Chen and Jeff J. Lin, Captricity has raised $1.6m to date and is currently hiring (http://captricity.com/jobs/).
The Knight Enterprise Fund joined Menlo Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Attractor Ventures, Sky Dayton, Greylock Partners, Social + Capital Partnership, Kapor Capital, and Atlas Ventures.
