Capablue, a London, UK-based Connected TV specialist, has raised a Series A funding.
The amount was not disclosed.
Backers include advertising entrepreneur Charlie Makin, who has joined the company as a director.
The company intends to use the proceeds to to scale operations, improve business development in vertical sectors, and strengthen its cloud based technology platform.
Led by CEO Tom Cape, Capablue provides broadcasters and brands with solutions to promote and monetize content and products across the entire Connected TV ecosystem, from Video on Demand (VoD) through Connected TV and second-screen apps to advertising and T-commerce.
Its cloud-based platform, Connected, enables the discovery and monetization of content on multiple internet-connected devices, helping brands. Customers on the platform include M&S TV, Curzon on Demand, Start Trek on Virgin Tivo, Playboy TV and DigiTop’s Karaoke Superstar.
