Spanish venture capital firm ACTIVE Venture Partners SGECR has closed its second fund at €54m.
Partners in Amerigo Innvierte Spain Ventures FCR include private Telefónica Digital España S.L.U., Innvierte Economía Sostenible S.A. S.C.R, Neotec Capital Riesgo gestionado por el Fondo Europeo de Inversiones, FOND-ICOpyme, Institut Català de Finances (ICF) and four German and Spanish family offices.
The fund, which exceeded its €45m initial target, focuses on investing in internet, software y TLC start-ups with products and services already on the market and a minumum turnover of €50k a month.
The main portion of the fund, about €44m, will be invested in Spain, while the other portion will be invested in other European countries, principally Germany and Scandinavia. In the next three years, it will invest in fifteen companies, an amount ranging between €500k and €5m. So far, the vehicle has invested in

– Restalo,
– Whisbi Technologies,
– Zyncro, and
– Barnebys.
It is expected to make three additional investments within the end of 2012.
