Ticket Cake Raises Seed Funding

Ticket Cake, a Las Vegas-based event management technology startup, recently raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding.

The round was led by seed stage investment fund VegasTechFund, with participation from Zeke Dumke IV, managing partner at Dumke Law, LLP and member of Olympus Angels in Salt Lake City.

The company is now using the funds to accelerate its growth and develop its platform.

Launched in January 2011 at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT, by CEO Joe Henriod and CTO Dylan Jorgensen, Ticket Cake provides a platform that allows professional event organizers to gain access to business intelligence and manage ticket inventory and pricing. To date, it has sold tickets to Deadmau5, Lauryn Hill, Third Eye Blind, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Kaskade, among others.
The company, which recently moved from Salt Lake City to downtown Las Vegas, has just launched a iOS mobile application, which allows event organizers to log in to Ticket Cake with a smart phone and view specific event information such as how many guests have checked in and how many guests plan to attend.
