Sherpaa Raises $1.85M in Venture Funding

Sherpaa, a New York-based startup that develops technology designed to to help make “healthcare more accessible and more affordable”, has raised $1.85m in venture funding.

Backers include First Round Capital, O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures and Collaborative Fund.

The company intends to use the funding to hire salespeople and developers.

Co-founded by Cheryl Swirnow and Jay Parkinson MD, MPH, Sherpaa provides companies and employees with email and phone access to its doctors (called Guides) that can answer medical questions and prevent needless emergency room visits.
The company plans to expand to other cities like SF, DC, and Chicago.
