SeeMore Interactive, Inc., a Columbus, OH-based developer of a new retail product marketing platform designed to enhance product interaction and consumer engagement, has raised $750k in seed funding.
The round was led by TechColumbus (with $350k from its Pre-Seed Fund), with participation from other private investors.
The company intends to use to continue development of its patent-pending mobile solution.
Founded earlier this year by consumer packaged goods veteran Neal Applefeld, and also led by Matt Van Vleet, recently named CTO, SeeMore is developing mobile imaging software based on a combination of augmented reality, image recognition and recommendation, and social media and other emerging technologies.
Using a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, the company’s application allows consumers to purchase products in real time while simultaneously gathering in-depth information about the product and sharing it with their social networks.
