Phenometrics Receives Microloan from Michigan Program

Phenometrics, Inc., a Lansing, MI-based technology transfer spin-off company from Michigan State University, has received a microloan from the Michigan Microloan Fund Program.

The amount of the funding was not disclosed.

Led by CEO Mimi C. Hall, Phenometrics provides an environmental photo bioreactor (ePBR TM) that reproduces outdoor pond environments in the laboratory so that scientists can study algae under more natural conditions.
The company is using the microloan funding to scale up production as well as hire a technical engineer.
