Convergent-io Raises $10M in Series A Funding

Convergent-io, a San Jose, CA- and Vancouver, BC-based cloud computing startup, has raised $10m in Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz.

In conjunction with the funding, Peter Levine, general partner of Andreessen Horowitz, has joined the company’s board.

Founded by XenSource veterans, Andrew Warfield, Keir Fraser, and CEO Ramana Jonnala, Convergent.io develops cloud-based storage infrastructure that abstracts configuration and functionality from the underlying hardware while making use of innovative storage networking integration.

The company is currently assembling a top team of storage, networking and virtualization architects, engineers and UX developers.
