ClearSlide Raises $28M in Series B Funding

ClearSlide, a San Francisco, Calif.-based provider of a cloud-based sales communication platform, has raised $28m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), with participation from existing investors Greylock Partners and Felicis Ventures.

The company intends to use the capital to expand the team, invest in new products and technologies, open new offices, and expand marketing.

Led by Al Lieb, CEO and co-founder, ClearSlide provides enterprise sales teams with a cloud-based platform to communicate with their customers and prospects, whether in-person, over the phone, or via email.

Customers include CareerBuilder, Expedia, Gannett, Rackspace, Shazam and The Weather Channel and other companies from a wide range of verticals, including media, technology, business and financial services.
ClearSlide currently has more than 100 employees with plans to more than double headcount in San Francisco and New York.

In conjunction with the funding, Byron Deeter, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, and John M. Jack, former CEO and President of Fortify Software, have joined the company’s board of directors.
