Canvera.com, an Indian online photography company, has received a $6.5M (Rs35CR) investment from Info Edge, owner of Naukri.com, India’s No. 1 job site.
The company intends to use the funding to scale operations.
Founded by Dr. Dhiraj Kacker (CEO) and Peeyush Rai (CTO), Canvera is an online photography company that integrates web hosting, e-commerce, collaboration, print and design services, servicing photographers in over 300 cities all over India.
Canvera has raised approximately $13m (Rs70CR) to date. Previous investors include DFJ, Footprint Ventures, & Mumbai Angels.
Led by Founder and Executive Vice Chairman Sanjeev Bikchandani, Info Edge has already made a number of investments in companies such as Zomato, Meritnation, MyDala, PolicyBazaar, 99labels etc. According to note, this is their largest investment to date.
