BrightTag Acquires SiteTagger

BrightTag, a Chicago, IL-based provider of tag management software, has acquired Cardiff, UK-based SiteTagger for an undisclosed sum.

Launched in 2009 by Stephan Briggs and Paul Newbury, SiteTagger has provided UK and EU-based brands with tools to manage and deploy analytics, affiliate tracking and other digital marketing services.
Clients include Allianz, British Gas, Sainsbury’s, The Guardian, TimeOut, ASDA and Boots.

The acquisition, which forms the core of BrightTag’s expansion into the UK and Europe, creates a large provider of tag management solutions with more than 100 global enterprise clients representing thousands of brands including Gap, JetBlue Airways, Sainsbury’s, British Gas, ASDA and Boots.
Following the transaction, Briggs and Newbury will focus on expanding their Data-Centric Digital Services Agency, Yard Digital, which will become a strategic partner to BrightTag joining other agencies in the BrightTag ONE Partner Program.
