Perfect Earth, a Netherlands-based developer of an Online & Mobile Social Game which teaches children 8-12 about nature, wildlife, climate change & sustainability in a playful manner, has raised €80k in equity crowdfunding through Symbid.
Ninety investors took a 10% stake in the company, which intends to use the funding to develop its game.
Founded by Christian Batist, Perfect Earth is developing an online and mobile social game for children 8-14, which entertains its players and motivates them to be active and learn about the environment, sustainable energy, wildlife, nature and climate change.
The player has the role of an “Explorer”, working for Perfect-Earth, an organization that wants to increase environmental awareness around the globe, and minimize the effects of mankind on the environment. The player has the assignment to take an active stand in protection of the planet, and to document wildlife wherever he/she goes. He/she has to defend vulnerable places on earth against the damages caused by the fictitious commercial organization Stinky Factory, an organization that is threatening the well-being of the earth by cutting down trees, over-fishing the seas, spilling oil, over-farming land, polluting the environment, warming the earth and posing numerous additional threats.
