Backupify, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based provider of online backup services for cloud application data, has secured $9 million in Series C funding.
Backers include Symantec Corp. as well as existing investors Avalon Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and Lowercase Capital.
The company, which has now raised a total of $19.5m, intends to use the funding to accelerate development and adoption of its backup solutions and support for additional online services.
