Arkimedia SRL, a Rome, Italy-based start up that operates a multiplatform social TV called iLIKE.TV, has raised €1.2m in funding.
Backers include Filas and angel investors Giorgio Ferrari, Antonio Guaglio, Maurizio Liverani, Gianluca Paladini and Paolo Vannini. The investors, which have already acquired a 18% stake of the company, will provide an additional €1.3m by the first half of 2013, raising their shareholding in Arkimedia to 31%.
Founded by Paolo Roatta, the company intends to use the funding to produce and commercialize iLIKE.TV, a social network tv that integrates real entertainment and docufiction with web 2.0 and radio.
It provides a second screen in which users can interact in real-time televisivo with friends, comment programs, upload photos, etc.
