Apigee, a Palo Alto, California-based API company, has closed a $20m funding.
The round was led by new investor Focus Ventures, with participation from existing investors Bay Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, SAP Ventures and Third Point Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to scale development, marketing and sales for its API platform, while expanding into new markets.
Led by CEO Chet Kapoor, Apigee Apigee provides technology and services for enterprises and developers to simplify the delivery, management and analysis of APIs.
Global enterprises using Apigee include Walgreens, Netflix, eBay, Gilt Groupe, Pearson, Bechtel and Getty Images.
The company also has an office in Bangalore, India and London, England..
