Antares Vision Receives €5M Equity Investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento

Imago Technologies (dba Antares Vision Srl), a Castel Mella, Brescia, Italy-based company that designs, produces and installs inspection systems for the pharmaceutical sector, has received a €5m minority equity investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to increase its production capacity through the construction of a new facility near Brescia, create a facility aborad, consolidate its international commercial network, and expand R&D activities.

Founded in 2007 by Emidio Zorzella and Massimo Bonardi, Antares Vision focuses on designing and producing systems that allows users to guarantee traceability and to monitor the quality of the entire production process, from the conformity of single product units – such as pills and capsules – to the inspection of the finished packed product – such as vials, bottles, ampoules, blister packs and tubes – guaranteeing rejection of all non-conforming parts.
The company employs around 90 people with a turnover of €15,3m in 2011.
