Row 44, a Westlake Village, California-based provider of inflight WiFi and device-based entertainment for airlines, has closed a $45m financing.
The round was led by inflight content expert Advanced Inflight Alliance AG (AIA), with participation from existing investor PAR Capital Management.
The company intends to use the funding to broaden its offering, and expand global infrastructure.
Led by CEO John LaValle, Row 44 enables airlines worldwide to provide travelers with high-speed Internet connectivity, access to entertainment content, including live television and streaming Video on Demand, and local activities that can be booked en route.
The company also has development offices in Chicago, Illinois; London, United Kingdom; and Las Vegas, Nevada.
