Prioria Robotics Completes Final Tranche of $5.5M Series C Funding

Prioria Robotics, a Gainesville, Fla.-based developer of small unmanned aerial systems, completed the final tranche of a $5.5m Series C funding.

Athenian Venture Partners has joined lead investor Advantage Capital Partners and existing investor Florida Gulfshore Capital.

The company intends to use the new financing to advance its platforms.

Founded in March 2003 by business and engineering graduates from the University of Florida, and led by Bryan da Frota, CEO, Prioria Robotics focuses on developing systems designed to perform sophisticated aerial security (military and civilian) or surveillance tasks.

In conjunction with the funding, Karl Elderkin, Athenian Venture Partners, has joined the company’s board.
