LumeJet Raises £1.87M in Angel Funding

LumeJet, a Coventry, UK-based developer of a photonics imaging technology that allows for high precision printed services, has raised an additional  £1.87m as a part of an angel round amounting in total to £4.5m.

Backers include Wren Capital, Qi3, LBA EIS Roundtable Syndicate Fund, private investors from LBA, Cambridge Angels, and other independent investors.

The company intends to use the new capital to create 100 new jobs within 2014.

Formed in 2010 and led by CEO Paul Anson and chairman Christopher McCann, LumeJet has originally acquired its technology (from a Warwick University spin-out) for photographic media and has now applications ranging from repro printing, inkless printing and packaging, to patterning for printed circuit boards/photo resist and printed logic and large-area organic electronics.
